Job description

We’re looking for a Part-Time Events Coordinator who shares our love for local food and community. In this role, you'll plan and execute events that showcase local chefs, producers, and creators, fostering connections within our neighborhood (and beyond!). You'll help ensure each event is engaging, well-organized, and cost-effective while contributing to the vibrant culture at HEX Superette.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and execute events that align with HEX Superette’s mission and vibe.
• Be present at events to ensure everything runs smoothly, handling setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination.
• Collaborate with the team to develop creative event ideas, including tastings, workshops, and community gatherings.
• Manage event promotion, including creating engaging social media content and working with local partners.
• Coordinate food, drinks, and catering needs with the HEX kitchen and bar teams.
• Drafting and finalizing contracts.
• Build relationships with local vendors, producers, and community members to enhance events.

Qualifications:

• Experience in event planning, catering, or hospitality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Social media savvy with the ability to create eye-catching and engaging content.
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for food, drinks, and fermentation techniques.
• A passion for supporting local businesses and community initiatives.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Compensation: 

• Hours range depending on events scheduled, but typically a minimum of 8 hours a week. More hours during busy periods.
• $25 per hour, paid every week on Friday’s via direct deposit.
• 25% off discount at HEX Superette
