As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Farmer's Market Driver to help oversee operations, customer service, and market management.
Job description
The Farmer's Market Driver will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations at our markets in NYC and our farm in Hudson. This includes both back-end tasks such as market setup and inventory management, as well as front-end customer-facing responsibilities. We are looking for a proactive, energetic individual who is passionate about sustainability and is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Previous experience in retail, market management, or customer service is a plus.
Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading equipment and supplies.
Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required, as you’ll be driving the company vehicle.
Passion for Sustainability: A genuine interest in sustainable practices, particularly in aquaculture and local food systems, is highly valued.
Personality: We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and customer-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule:
Hours: Full-time, including weekends. Market set-up begins as early as 7:00 AM, with closing tasks finishing by 4:00 PM.
Location: Primary responsibilities will be at various market locations in NYC and the farm in Hudson, NY.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
