About You:
You are an experienced manager with a passion for coffee, leadership, and community. You have a strong background in café management and enjoy working hands-on with your team to create a positive customer experience. Retail experience is a plus, as you understand the importance of balancing operations, team dynamics, and customer engagement. You thrive in fast-paced environments and can juggle both the creative and logistical aspects of running a café.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Café Manager or in a similar leadership role (experience in retail is a plus)
Strong understanding of coffee, espresso drinks, and café operations
Experience in inventory management, ordering, and supplier relationships
A passion for providing excellent customer service and cultivating a welcoming environment
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff
Solid organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
Ability to manage the day-to-day café operations while driving growth and efficiency
Experience in cash handling, POS systems, and managing financial records
Strong communication skills, both with your team and customers
A deep commitment to sustainability and local sourcing practices
Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth, efficient service at all times
Lead, mentor, and train a team of baristas and front-of-house staff
Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service
Manage inventory and ordering of supplies, ensuring consistent product availability
Handle cash, POS transactions, and ensure financial accuracy
Monitor team performance, conduct regular reviews, and foster professional growth
Implement operational procedures to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards
Develop and execute promotional events, collaborations, and community engagement activities
Collaborate with the ownership to set goals, drive business growth, and enhance the customer experience
Build relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and community involvement
Compensation
this position is: salaried, varies DOE, $65,000.00 - $70,000.00
