Job description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Property Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of our country estate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for maintaining the beauty, natural environment, and functionality of the estate.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure by working through a weekly/monthly checklist of maintenance tasks. Ensure the estate is kept in pristine condition and able to accommodate guests throughout the year.
Staff Management: Supervise estate staff and vendors, including gardeners, housekeepers, and maintenance workers.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the estate's budget. Work with property accountant to track expenses and ensure cost-effective operations.
Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate events hosted on the estate, such as private parties and family events.
Vendor Management: Liaise with external contractors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and ensure quality service delivery.
Security: Implement and oversee security measures to protect the estate and its occupants.
Compliance: Ensure the estate complies with all local regulations and health and safety standards.
Guest Relations: Provide exceptional service to guests and visitors. Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in property management, preferably in a similar setting.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of budgeting and financial management.
Strong communication skills both in-person and via email.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends and holidays.
A passion for maintaining high standards of property care.
Technical Skills: Knowledge and experience with basic carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, pool systems, and HVAC.
Equipment Operation: Ability to operate farm equipment to maintain grounds.
Independence: Must be able to work independently on-site for a minimum of 3 days per week.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, 50k-75k
