Company description
We are a 1st generation regenerative pastured poultry and vegetable farm in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, bringing seasonal produce, organic-fed chickens, Pekin ducks, and top-quality eggs to tables around Atlanta. As a Conservation Fund “Working Farms Fund” farm, we put sustainability at the forefront using practices like no-till and daily pasture rotation on our 81 acres of Southwest Metro ATL rural farmland. Owner Michael Gault is a former backyard gardener who put his passion for land regeneration, food sovereignty, and strong local food systems into a UGA horticulture degree with an emphasis in sustainable food production – and now puts that passion to work every day on Smyly Farms.
Job description
Building strong relationships with our customers is the heart of this job. You will be giving farmers’ market shoppers a great educational experience about our farm, our story, and the care we take in producing high-quality products with sustainable practices.
We have a growing community of customers who love our chicken, duck, eggs and produce and come to the farmers’ markets weekly to stock up and say hello.
All markets are on Saturdays and occasional Sundays. Most market days begin at 7:30am and you will need to set up the booth before opening, so it is absolutely essential to arrive on time.
During market, you will be conducting sales through Square and talking to customers about our regenerative operation and values. At the end of market, cash sales are counted and the booth gets broken down and packed up.
