Wickford Cheese & Sundry is a new full service cut to order cheese shop located in Wickford, RI. We're in our 3rd month and doing really well - at this point we're seeking to make a new hire to our team. The store handles about 110-120 cheeses at any given time and is also very active in charcuterie category as well. We round out our offerings with a carefully procured range of specialty groceries and a keen focus on the best cheese accompaniments of course. Store is open Wednesday to Sunday. 

Job description

This is a part time position to start but can lead to full time for the right person. The job mainly focuses on customer service in our cut to order cheese shop - so product knowledge & experience plus a genuine passion for fine cheese are all very important. As we are additionally very busy with the charcuterie category the job involves fairly extensive work with our carefully procured and unique selection of cured meats and pate's.  

The typical shift will involve cheese prep and set up - as well as closing procedures and cleaning with each shift too. The successful candidate for this position will be able to grow into the role - and this can definitely lead to a full time position as our new shop continues its growth. We will also train the right person to help with our emerging platter/tray business.   

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $20.00 - $26.00
