We operate weekly, year-round markets in Westwood Village (Thursdays 12-5), Playa Vista (Saturdays 9-2), Costa Mesa/SoCo (Saturdays 9-2), Newport Beach (Sundays 9-1), West Hollywood (Mondays 9-2), South Park (Saturdays 9-2), Hollywood Park (Inglewood) (Saturdays 9-1), and Cedars Sinai (Wednesdays 11-2).

Operations Manager - Full-time, exempt - Hybrid & must be available to work weekends and flexible hours
POSITION DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Operations Manager is a member of Farm Habit’s home team and reports to the Director of Operations. They are crucial to ensuring the day-of logistics for all 8 farmers’ markets run smoothly & that on-site Market Managers are supported during the market day.
The Operations Manager will work remotely on weekly administrative functions including but not limited to building market maps, booking vendors, market prep, record keeping, data reporting, fee & payment management, and policy enforcement.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing our KidZone program that is offered in our Costa Mesa, Playa Vista, South Park, and Hollywood Park markets. This includes fielding prospective sponsors, booking existing sponsors, and coordinating logistics for each booking.
The Operations Manager should expect to be in person in at least one market each week on an as-needed basis (e.g. act as a fill-in Market Manager, train new managers, support with logistics for unique events, drop off supplies, etc.).
The Operations Manager will collaborate with the Director of Operations to directly oversee on-site Market Managers, including being on-call during market days and leading weekly check-in meetings with Market Managers.
The Operations Manager will be expected to maintain an open line of communication with the Director of Ops and participate in meetings, conference calls, and other assignments as needed. They should bring ideas, and contribute creatively to continue to make our operations more efficient and successful.
POSITION DETAILS
● Hours: Full-time, exempt.
● Compensation: D.O.E. We do not provide healthcare benefits at this time but do have great local food perks!
● Work locations: Hybrid. At the markets, from home, and other locations around the local community as necessary. Must live within LA or Orange County and have reliable transportation to travel between both counties.

Required Qualifications
● Self-motivated, quick learner with initiative and drive
● Resilient and have a good sense of humor
● Multi-tasker with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
● Enthusiastic to show up, make an impact and have fun
● Effective, contributing team player able to take direction and work independently
● Ability to comfortably and safely lift up to 50lbs as needed for market setup/breakdown
● Reliable access to a smartphone, computer & internet connection
● Working knowledge of & comfortability with Google Workspace required
● Outstanding customer service representative
Preferred Qualifications
● Demonstrated experience in developing and mentoring managers and teams
● Experience and comfortability with rules and regulation enforcement
● Successful community builder with a proven ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders
● Experience with Canva, Airtable, or other CRMs
● Experience in organizational design and workflow planning
● Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired but not required
