FrontLine Farming (FLF) is a nonprofit food and farmer advocacy organization focusing on food growing, education, sovereignty and justice. We grow high quality, organic food which supports fair wages for our farmers and is distributed through CSA shares, sliding scale sales at farm stands and donations to a variety of non-profit partners. The mission of FLF is land based in support of our farmers growing food with a focus on creating greater equity across our food system on the Front Range of Colorado. This position is responsible for weekly deliveries to our partners at Project Protect Food Systems in all regions of Colorado. Role includes 2-3 deliveries per week to rural partner sites on a set schedule with special attention to box truck basic maintenance and feedback from PPFS on food quality/type. Additional duties may include one time drop offs of produce, trash and recycling, supplies or maintenance needs. This space and opportunity is geared toward Black, Indigenous, People of Color and womxn and trans folks.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving FLF box truck (or rented truck as needed) for weekly deliveries to Project Protect Regional Directors.
- Pick up truck at Majestic View Farm location
- Pick up at storage facility if needed
- Pick up at Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR)
- Drop off in rural areas across Colorado
- Monitor pallet quantities to return to FBR
- Sign purchasing card agreement and maintain professional purchasing habits
- Other duties might include storing food and items in walk in cooler, picking up supplies from storage for deliveries.
Schedule: Every other Tuesday to N1, Wednesday to SE; Alternating every other Wednesday to N3, Thursday to SLV plus Sundays. This is not always a set schedule, though we strive to keep stability. Outages at the food bank and unexpected weather may cancel or change plans.
BASIC CONSIDERATIONS
- Communication with Business Operations Director re: truck maintenance and credit card spending / receipt tracking
Standard truck maintenance including fluids, tire pressure, fuel levels - Monitor use and wear on box truck
- Report concerns to Business Operations Director (BOM).
- Deliver and pick up trucks for regular and emergency maintenance
- Recommend tools, equipment, signage and repair log updates to BOM

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Record of operating a vehicle safely for the past 5 years of public records. No tickets for speeding, reckless driving and similar infractions
- Basic Spanish skills
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and carry up to 50-80 lbs independently.
- Able to tolerate extreme temperatures while maintaining a good attitude.
- Able to sit for long periods of time - up to 12 hours.
- Able to bend, kneel, slide, shuffle, push, and pull safely with 25 lbs of product.
- Creative problem solving without managerial guidance
