Job description

We’re seeking a skilled, discrete part-time chef to work from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, for a private family. The chef will be responsible for creating and sharing a weekly menu, which will be sent to the client a week in advance for approval. After the menu is confirmed, the house manager will source all necessary groceries.

 

Each morning, the chef will arrive at 8:30 a.m. to prepare the designated meal(s) and ensure it’s ready with clear instructions on how to finish the dish that evening. The chef will also be responsible for deep cleaning the kitchen daily. Pay is $40-$50 per hour, with the possibility of additional meal prep assignments for off-site needs upon request.

 

Responsibilities:

 • Develop and send weekly menus for approval.

 • Prepare meals in advance, ensuring dishes can be easily finished later in the day.

 • Deep clean the kitchen daily to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

 • Occasionally prepare additional meals for off-site needs with added compensation.

 

Requirements:

 • Proven experience as a chef or cook.

 • Strong organizational, cleaning, and meal-prep skills.

 • Excellent communication skills and discretion to maintain privacy.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $40.00 - $50.00
