Job description

A Figure 8 Associate Consultant has knowledge and experience in strategic consulting for multi-unit restaurants. Domain expertise in restaurant operations, technology, financial systems, and digital programs is critical to this role.

ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plays integral role in the design and management of the Figure 8 organizational strategy
  • Leads the establishment and maintenance of healthy client relationships, including setting and communicating expectations for the strategic direction and timing of the engagement
  • Guides existing client relationships into new and/or expanded scopes in order to generate additional revenue
  • Fosters innovation and design of new and emerging services
  • Leads the strategy and design of client presentations
  • Applies expertise about Figure 8 business model, services, and industry trends to identify and secure expanded business opportunities for the company
  • Designs project delivery methods and practices
  • Encourages and facilitates the continuous replenishment of knowledge of industry, products, services, and trends throughout the Figure 8 team
  • Develops and nurtures a professional network in the F&B industry

DIRECTOR OF PROCESS IMPROVEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In collaboration with the COO, identify existing processes and areas in need of scalability.
  • Document and evaluate all existing processes.
  • Examples of organizational functions that may require process design or improvement include, but are not limited to:
    • New client onboarding
    • Asset design and review
    • Team and resource allocation
    • Transition workflow from sales to account management
    • Project tracking and reporting systems
  • Collect and analyze data to identify and solve the root cause of organizational inefficiencies.
  • Organize, lead, and facilitate internal project teams to design and implement new processes, and improve existing processes.
  • Model potential outcomes of new processes, pilot, and plan rollout.
  • Manage new process introduction, training, and adoption with the team.
  • Engage with team stakeholders, and act as an effective change agent with clear communication.
  • Invite and inspire support from the team for the changes sought, and motivate and influence the team to advance and achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with the COO to align process design and improvement plans with established budgets, and company mission, vision, and values.
  • Produce cost-benefit analysis of new processes as it relates to budget and team time.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of new and improved processes.

  • Highly proficient as a consultant, with a proven track record of consistently adhering to the highest professional standards and best practices in consulting:
    • Keeps domain expertise sharp and current
    • Curates trustworthiness with internal team and with clients
    • Vision casting:  makes sense out of chaotic information and “see around corners” for clients
    • Has expertise in multi-unit restaurant strategy, operations, finances, and digital systems, and can apply that expertise to client engagements
    • Capable of independently designing critical path for client engagements and formulating strategies to fulfill scope, schedule, budget
    • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to effectively manage engaged teams and elicit productive and innovative results
    • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale business transformation projects
    • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing change in complex environments
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and develop actionable solutions.
    • Expertise in process mapping, root cause analysis, and workflow optimization.
    • Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders, including executives.
    • Contributes a book of business valued at $500,000/year
    • 12+ years relevant experience
      • Years of experience can be applied from any combination of the following:
        • College degree
        • Professional experience in a consulting environment
        • Professional experience at the Director level or higher in the foodservice/restaurant industry
        • Executive level professional experience in any industry
