Savory Fare is a non-profit meal delivery service devoted to producing fresh and frozen meals for older adults across the state of Rhode Island. Savory Fare’s focus is to craft delicious, convenient, and nutritious fresh and frozen meals using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients. We take great pride in exceeding experienced adults’ expectations by delivering exceptional food at an affordable price point. At Savory Fare, we prioritize providing customized service for mature adults and catering to the unique preferences and requirements of our valued customers.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales and Outreach Associate to join our team on a part time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for developing sales plans, growing our customer base, establishing relationships with community partners, attending various markets, expos and other events around Rhode Island on behalf of Savory Fare. If you are passionate about food as medicine, local business, and connecting with others, this could be a good fit for you. The position is 20 hours per week. The schedule is somewhat flexible but the ability to work Saturdays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous sales or outreach experience
• Outgoing and energetic personality with excellent communication skills
• Must be able to life 40 lbs. at a time
• Access to a vehicle to attend events and transporting market equipment - we have mileage reimbursement available for staff on the road
• Must be available to work Saturdays from 7:30 am – 2 pm (market hours are 9am-1pm; additional time needed for load-in, setup, and breakdown)

Key Responsibilities

• Attend Farm Fresh Winter Market on behalf of Savory Fare. Greet and engage customers. Assist customers with purchases and manages sales transactions.
• Conduct strategic outreach throughout RI to educate communities about Savory Fare products and services. Intentionally pursue new leads that results in growth of sales.
• Establish and maintain relationships with community partners that could benefit from Savory Fare products and services.
• Represent Savory Fare at various community meetings, trade shows, health fairs, and other events as needed.
• Participate in media opportunities as needed.
• Maintain high standard of customer service and integrity.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22/hour

Expected Hours: 20/week
