About the Role

We're seeking a passionate and hands-on Vinegar Production & Operations Manager to join our small team in our historic vinegar works in Worcester, MA in a full-time role.

This is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the art of vinegar making and play a key role in all aspects of our production process. You'll report directly to our Director of Operations and have the chance to apprentice and learn from his expertise.

We are a small, fast-growing craft producer and, as such, are looking for an individual that is comfortable and eager to do a variety of changing operational tasks and is positive and flexible.  

Responsibilities Include:

Vinegar Production: Monitoring fermentation tanks, carefully measuring and adjusting vinegar temperature and acidity levels to ensure optimal quality and flavor profiles.
Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation of all production equipment to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.
Troubleshooting: Identifying and troubleshooting equipment and production issues
Order Fulfillment: Managing and fulfilling online and wholesale customer orders, ensuring accurate and quick order processing, packaging, and timely delivery.
Bottling and Labeling: Bottling, labeling, and packaging finished vinegar products, adhering to quality control procedures.
Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory tracking of raw materials and finished goods.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

Is passionate about craft food, artisanal production methods, and sustainable practices.
Has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
Is a proactive team player with a positive and flexible attitude, eager to learn and contribute in a dynamic environment.
Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills.
Has the ability to lift 50lbs minimum and to frequently sit, stand, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, and engage in physical labor
Preference for those with food manufacturing, bottling, brewery, winery, or commercial kitchen experience but open to training the right candidate
A college or relevant trade degree is preferred but not required
Conditions in the vinegar works will vary and include warm temperatures (vinegar bacteria need heat) depending on the season
Vinegar is made by fermenting alcohol and you should feel comfortable working in an environment where various alcohols are present and will need to be handled.

We are a food manufacturing facility and require strict adherence to food safety and allergy prevention rules.  We take safety seriously and so will the successful candidate.

Full time role of approximately 30 hours a week during weekdays

Hourly rate of $23+ DOE
