In 2008, Greene Grape Provisions in Fort Greene, Brooklyn was opened to feature high quality, sustainable food with an emphasis placed on sourcing locally wherever possible. A one stop shop for our neighborhood's cooking needs, our mission is to provide for everyday food made with integrity, skill and pride.

Job description

Key responsibilities:

• Cut and wrap cheese and charcuterie to order and for grab & go case
• Pack out and stock all cheeses, jams, honeys, dried fruits and nuts and other accoutrements
• Make fresh mozzarella daily for retail sale and in house production
• Perform daily quality control on all products, keeping them attractive and in good condition
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards as defined by the DOA at all times
• Accurately receive and record deliveries, keeping storage areas organized
• Provide excellent customer service with in-depth knowledge of all products sold at the counter
• Cut and wrap cheese to order for online sales and assist with catering platters
• Keep the cheese and beer fridge and floor displays fully stocked and abundant at all times
  
  Requirements:
• Available to work Saturdays and Sundays on consistent basis
• Passion for cheese and charcuterie with a focus on excellent customer service 
• Ability to work on your feet for 8+ hours, walk up/down stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Detail oriented with an ability to multitask under pressure
• A strong work ethic & positive attitude with a desire to taste and learn!

• Compensation is $19-20 per hour based on level of experience
