The Concord Cheese Shop is a small 58 year old business, tucked away in cozy Concord MA.   We are committed to working with local farmers who are grower-producers, combing traditional back-to-land methods with technology dedicated to creating a harmonious balance between nature and the technology that allows them to produce their food.  We believe in carrying products crafted by local artisans and cheese mongers who share in our commitment to prioritize environmental, and socioeconomic considerations into their day to day operations.  We care and are conscious of the environmental footprint of cheese; to that end, we work specifically with Cheese Mongers who focus on reducing the environmental impact of farming and care for the creatures who produce dairy products.

Hi, Hey, Hello!

The Concord Cheese Shop is hiring for full (and possibly part) time positions in our deli/retail and cheese departments!
Do you love cheese? Gourmet food? Wine? Would you like to earn some money in the company of other friendly folks who take their craft seriously (but let’s be serious… we joke around a lot too)?

Qualifications:

An excellent work ethic!!! We are looking for someone reliable, with a proven ability to work in a fast paced environment, with a sense of urgency.
Compassion for others (we take customer service very seriously)!
Friendly and outgoing demeanor.
Curiosity for all things food and cheese related.
BONUS: familiarity with wine and craft beer, and/or food preparation - previous deli, food service, or grocery experience preferred. Cheese aficionados strongly preferred.
A sense of humor and ability to find fulfillment in engaging with customers.
Open schedule is preferred, Fridays, Saturdays and holidays are a must, no exceptions.
Physical Requirement / Working Conditions

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40
degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including, weekends, and holidays as needed.
