Job description

Our Produce department is seeking an Assistant Manager with prior leadership experience and supervisory skills to support departmental growth by working with the Produce Manager to achieve operational goals. Someone who continues to be interested in learning more about our Ends, the products we carry, and our buying criteria will be successful in providing the highest standard of service to MNFC customers and co-workers. 

An ideal candidate has experience with the following duties:

• Supervise and motivate staff, while demonstrating accountability for the performance of the department, in order to support a professional and fun work environment
• Create an exciting product mix by reviewing product movement and monitoring national sale trends
• Maintain vibrant merchandise displays for visual appeal, cleanliness and signage
• Achieve fiscal goals by using variable margin pricing and negotiating fair prices with vendors
• Maintain a well-stocked inventory through strategic ordering and regular audits
• Actively participate in hiring, training, and conducting staff performance evaluations with Manager
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Is able to lift 60 lbs repeatedly and enjoys physical work in a fast-paced retail environment

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $20.00 - $29.00
