Job description
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide essential administrative and operational support to our team. This part-time role includes back-of-the-house responsibilities, as well as front-of-the-house tasks, ensuring exceptional hospitality and product knowledge in the sale of farm products.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Director of Operations, Sales & Marketing Team, and Farmer-Founder with a variety of administrative duties, including:
Sales data tracking and spreadsheet creation
Exemplary customer service: answering phones and taking messages
Order processing: taking, fulfilling, and shipping orders as needed
Creating and maintaining both paper and electronic files, transitioning to digital formats where possible
Assisting with events, including setup, operations, and cleanup
Supporting seasonal harvest duties, particularly those related to custom milling from October to January
Managing special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative role
Highly organized and efficient, with excellent time management skills
Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Versatile and adaptable in a dynamic work environment, with a positive attitude
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; must be insurable under GROF's insurance policy
Desired Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Docs
Experience with Mac OSX
Familiarity with POS systems (Square is a plus)
Intermediate math skills
Passion for organic farming, gourmet foods, and organic products
Ability to engage with the public in a friendly and approachable manner
Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable
Work Environment:

Standard office setting with the use of office equipment, including computers
Ability to travel and attend events at various locations
Capability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds
Role may involve standing, walking, and considerable bending
25-30 hours per week

Compensation
