Job description

Our Livestock Manager is primarily responsible for managing and overseeing our livestock. Livestock Manager needs previous experience in running day to day care of livestock including; breeding stock and feeder pigs, goats, chickens and ducks. This position also requires upkeep and management of livestock health, feed and feeding systems, breeding schedules, and castrations. Must be able to operate tractors and equipment as well as the ability to help out with other aspects of daily farm operations, if needed.The majority of work requires the physical capability to contribute daily to the rigorous and fast paced agriculture environment. The majority of this position is spent outdoors and regularly exposed to extreme weather conditions including temperature, humid and wet.  Must be able to walk, stand and lift and/or move 50 lbs. 

A positive attitude and attention to detail is critical.  A passion for animals essential.

Compensation

this position is: salaried, varies DOE, $75,000.00 - $80,000.00
