JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a job with purpose. While this position has specific duties, the right person will become a full member of our mission driven team.
The part time position of Operations Assistant is an essential part of our business. Receiving an order is the last step a customer has with the Community Grains shopping experience and we want it to be a positive one, therefore, accuracy and how orders are packed and shipped are crucial for its success.
While this is the basic part of this position, we have many needs and this person would/could/should cover additional roles in marketing, sales, administration, nutritional density/farming research and product development.
Job description
DUTIES
Direct Markets –
Process and pack orders
Arrange shipping and or deliveries
Maintain inventory
Keep necessary reports and paperwork
Distributor Orders
Process orders.
Access Warehouse Portal
Maintain inventory
Warehousing and Shipping
All necessary runs to Prism Distributing
All necessary steps to FedEx product
Send samples to prospective customers
Reports and Spreadsheets
Maintain WFM reports, Distributors reports, inventory spread sheets, etc as needed.
Errands
Do all necessary errands,: demo supplies, office supplies, printing shops, etc
Special Projects as Needed
Examples: updating labels with allergen statements, submitting data for bar codes, monitor donations etc.
Fulfillment
Process orders from web site
Pack orders
Arrange shipping
Maintain inventory
Keep necessary reports and paperwork
Address customer complaints/comments and communicate product safety and quality issues to operations manager as needed
SCHEDULE
Hours are somewhat flexible, Tuesdays and Fridays desired, 15 to 25 hours per week.
REQUIREMENTS
Entry level is fine, but must be accurate, meticulous in details. MUST have own car \ (pick-up truck preferred) and be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be flexible, and not get bored with daily tasks such as fulfillment and warehousing.
COMPENSATION
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $25.00 - $30.00
