Job description

Seeking part-time and seasonal help with kitchen prep hours on Fridays and solo staffing of our market booth on Sundays. If you're interested in learning more about vegan cooking or are a vegan who's tired of working in omnivore environments, I would love to talk to you about this PT seasonal position. Candidates do not need previous kitchen experience but should be outgoing, personable, comfortable in a sales person role, and be a fast-paced learner and doer. This job is physical. Candidates should be prepared for lifting heavy coolers and cases of ingredients, feel comfortable setting up and taking down a mobile market booth on your own, and have your own vehicle large enough to transport market booth materials. This position does receive compensation for time traveled between the kitchen and the markets. Key qualifications, job requirements and compensation are listed below: 

• $22/hr
• Shifts are Fridays 12pm to 5pm and Sundays alternating between 545am to 130pm and 730am to 130pm
• Option to include additional shift every other Saturday, 545am to 130pm.
• Friday shifts include basic kitchen work, food packaging, washing dishes, tasting and taking notes on food 
• Weekend market shifts include staffing the booth solo, managing meal prep subscription pick ups, engaging customers, selling the product, handling cash and credit transactions, setting up and breaking down the booth.
• Previous kitchen experience is not required, we love to teach! 
• Previous customer service or sales experience is preferred. 
• Must have access to own vehicle for market days, vehicle must accommodate 10 x 10 folding canopy, several large coolers, signage, etc. We reimburse for mileage.
• Should be comfortable working outdoors in all weather, our markets operate regardless of rain, wind, snow or anything else, as long as the conditions aren't dangerous.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
