Job description
Greene Grape Provisions is seeking a new addition to its Produce Team. As the first department customers see as they walk into our busy specialty food store, the produce department is responsible for beautiful, bountiful, vegetative displays! We pride ourselves in knowing the farmers who grow our food, and providing our customers with high quality, sustainable fruits and vegetables - locally sourced when possible. Experience is a plus for this job, but most importantly we are looking for someone passionate about fruits and vegetables!
Responsibilities Include:
- Building and maintaining displays
- Receiving and putting away deliveries
- Keeping produce fresh and healthy
- Prepping, cutting, and packing produce items as needed
- Extensive cleaning of the department
Required for this job:
- Have an excellent work ethic
- Have a working knowledge of popular herbs, vegetables, and fruits
- Great customer service skills
- Great communication skills
- A profound respect for coworkers
- Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
- A love of fruits and vegetables
Full-time or part-time available. Must be able to work weekends, evenings and some holidays. We offer health care, paid-time-off, and generous discounts at our store and our sister wine store.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
