Global Growers Network (GGN) is a nonprofit based in Decatur, GA that partners with people from diverse cultures to grow fresh food for their families and for local marketplaces. We work with 200 growers representing over 20 cultures and languages. We operate a network of community gardens in Decatur and Clarkston, a market farm located at the Indian Creek MARTA station in Stone Mountain, and a 23-acre organic co-farm in Conyers.

Position Summary and Candidate Vision
The Operations Coordinator keeps the back-end of the organization running smoothly, and is responsible for bookkeeping, administrative, and HR support functions. The ideal candidate is an organizational wizard who is friendly, tech savvy, and finds great satisfaction in keeping finances and administrative systems working efficiently. You’ll be working within a multicultural team, helping colleagues with varying levels of tech proficiency, so patience and clear communication are key.
Job Responsibilities
- Financial administration including: payroll processing, bookkeeping, expense coding, processing of bill payments, and managing accounts receivable
- Supporting human resources functions, assisting with employee onboarding and offboarding, administering benefit accounts
- Managing organizational mail and correspondence; providing phone coverage, responding to website queries
- Managing internal calendars, communications, and coordinating team meetings
- Maintaining office supply inventory and operation of office equipment
- Supporting staff use of tech systems and apps to execute operational and administrative functions. Systems include:
- ○ Gusto (payroll, paid time off), Google (files, email, calendar)
- ○ Grasshopper (phone system), Brex (staff expenses)
- ○ Quickbooks (bill management, bookkeeping, financial reports)
- ○ Airtable (data tracking)
- Other related responsibilities as needed
Requirements
- 2 years administrative/operations experience in an office environment
- 1+ years experience with Quickbooks or other accounting software
- 1+ years experience providing HR support
- Proficiency with Google Workspace / Microsoft Office; experience with Airtable, or similar database software is a plus; experience with Zapier, Make, or similar automation platforms is a plus
- Able to operate standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanner, copier
- Comfortable preparing written and verbal communications in English
- Access to reliable transportation for travel between GGN sites and to offsite meetings. GGN provides mileage reimbursements.
- Experience working in multicultural environments and in teams with varied technological proficiency and communication styles is a plus
- Fluency in at least one additional language is a plus
Location and Schedule
This is a full time, non-exempt position requiring forty hours per week, with standard working hours, Monday - Friday, along with occasional pre-scheduled evening and weekend work. This position will primarily work from our office at Legacy Park in Decatur. The position will require 3 days/week at our office in Legacy Park. Remote/virtual work is possible outside of necessary in-office responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits include: Healthcare Reimbursement Account ($370/month), cell phone stipend ($25/month), SIMPLE IRA retirement account (3% match), paid time off (starts at 14 days/year), paid holidays (6 public holidays; 2 floating holidays; 2 weeks at year-end), and professional development budget ($1,000/year).
