Company description

An ethical and agriculturally-centered manufacturing operation celebrating all things blackcurrant in the Hudson Valley.  We produce a botanical blackcurrant aperitif from ingredients sourced in the immediate vicinity of our winery/distillery in Rhinebeck, NY.  Located on a 35 acre property and small farm, we also operate an intimate tasting room which opens to the public on weekends and is available for small event bookings, workshops, and art happenings throughout the week.

Job description

Lead culinary + market operations from beginning to end for weekend food offerings at the C. Cassis Tasting Room.  This includes prep and execution of onsite food service (a limited menu of picnic boards and cold case “salads”), ordering and stocking for all prepared and packaged items, local charcuterie, cheeses, and small diverse array of NY State-made provisions.  This position is responsible for all CPG execution/R+D including Salted Currant Compote, CC Salt, and CC Tea.  Expected to work with the produce and herbs grown onsite, bi-products of the aperitif production, as well as sourcing from local farms.  All items and ingredients are NY state grown/made.  We are a small team and there will be some amount of customer-facing interaction involved in the role. Ideal candidates will be creative, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work self-sufficiently. Fri-Sun availability a must. Additional hours available and priority given to individuals with an interest in gardening/agriculture + beverage alcohol production.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
