Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County is looking for a Program Coordinator for the Master Gardener Volunteer Program. This is a part time (20-hour a week) position. It is benefits eligible and pays $22.00 per hour. The Master Gardener Volunteer Program consists of 100+ volunteers who do outreach and education to the community. This includes tabling at public events, staffing our Garden Helpline, giving gardening lectures and demonstrations, working with school and community gardens, and many other activities. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Community Horticulture Educator who runs the Master Gardener Volunteer Program. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills, the ability to communicate effectively through oral, written and visual means, as well as computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, Google Applications, and Canva. Agriculture and Gardening experience not necessary. This position will provide coordination and support, provide resources, scheduling, collection of research & evaluation data. Must be skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Application, Qualtrics & Canva. Experience with social media, i.e. Facebook. Excellent organizational skills.
