Calf & Clover Creamery is a small diversified grass based dairy and farmstead creamery located in the beautiful rolling hills of northwest Connecticut in Cornwall Bridge.  Operating on a iconic New England dairy farm that has been in operation for many generations, Calf & Clover Creamery is a young business in our fifth year producing a variety of value added dairy products such as yogurt, cheese, butter, and bottled raw milk, with ice cream coming soon.  We market our products primarily directly to our local community through our farm store and the Westport Farmers Market. 

This is an exciting time to join Calf & Clover Creamery as we continue to grow and develop new areas of our fam & business.  We see ourselves as stewards in a new chapter for a special and historic farm which has important meaning to us and many people in our community.  We strive to raise animals in a way that honors their health & nature while using their impact to improve diversity and fertility of the farm land.  This symbiotic relationship between animals, farmland and our natural resources (sunlight, grass, soils) is what we as farmers and stewards constantly strive to nurture and is the foundation of the farm.  The food that we are able to produce as a result is a unique expression of mother nature, animals and farmers which we take great pride in producing and sharing.

Job description

We are looking for part-time help on the farm, working three to four days a week including one weekend day weekly. 

Primary responsibilities would be milking cows, no prior experience required, we will train you. Other duties will be barn cleaning, and bottling milk. 

No housing available

Previous agricultural experience a plus, especially dairy, but not required. We need someone attentive, hard working, detail oriented, and a good problem solver. Need to be comfortable and confident around large animals.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
