Since 2010, the Harvard Law School Food Law and Policy Clinic (FLPC) has served partner organizations and communities in the U.S. and around the world by providing guidance on cutting-edge food system issues, while engaging law students in the practice of food law and policy. FLPC is committed to advancing a cross-sector, multi-disciplinary and inclusive approach to its work, building partnerships with academic institutions, government agencies, non-profit organizations, private sector actors, and civil society with expertise in public health, the environment, and the economy. FLPC’s work focuses on increasing access to nutritious foods, addressing the climate-related impacts of food and agricultural systems, reducing waste of healthy, wholesome food, and promoting food system justice.

As a teaching clinic of Harvard Law School, FLPC also seeds the next generation of food law experts by engaging law students in conducting these projects, providing mentorship and action-learning opportunities.

Harvard Law School's Food Law and Policy Clinic (FLPC) seeks a dedicated Clinical Instructor to join our dynamic team. In this position, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of food law and policy by guiding students as they tackle cutting edge issues within the food system.

What you'll do:

· Mentor future food law leaders: Inspire, teach, and supervise law students as they take on real-world food policy issues. Issues range from promoting sustainable agriculture to advocating for equitable food access.

· Drive impactful projects: Manage a portfolio of key FLPC initiatives, from designing policy projects to cultivating strong relationships with partners and funders. You'll also have the chance to develop new projects aligning with your expertise and interests.

· Forge powerful partnerships: Connect with external organizations and communities working on food policy issues. By collaborating, you'll build a network that amplifies your collective impact.

· Share your knowledge: Deliver presentations and trainings, represent the clinic at conferences, and support the development of classroom courses related to food law and policy.

· Contribute to a thriving team: Support the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including event planning, student outreach, and communications.

 

Compensation

this position is: salaried, varies DOE, $85,100.00 - $146,500.00
