Company description Our 175-acre property is a Demeter-certified Biodynamic vineyard and winery in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA, nestled within the greater Willamette Valley. With a commitment to regenerative farming practices, we showcase our terroir through a diverse range of varieties from Austria, Northern Italy, and the classic cool-climate French varieties. Job description We are looking to grow our small but mighty team at Johan Vineyards with the addition of a dynamic and passionate Tasting Room Guide. As a key member of our team, this individual will communicate our holistic farming and winemaking philosophies while guiding visitors through tasting experiences.

We are open to a variety of experience levels and will provide appropriate education to those eager to develop their knowledge, though the ideal team member would possess a foundation of basic wine knowledge and familiarity with world wines.

This is a part-time position (16-24 hours per week), reporting to the General Manager. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules; some evenings may be required.

An employee in this position will be performing a wide variety of tasks requiring attention to detail and the ability to react quickly with composure in high pressure situations. The responsibilities of this position will include and not be limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provide a high-level of hospitality throughout every guest experience. This includes leading tasting experiences on the farm, communicating the stories of our farm and wines, and promptly responding to guest communications.
- Build the club member community by maintaining and growing membership through excellent hospitality experiences and strong relationships
- Operate POS and online booking systems (WineDirect and Tock)
- Consistently perform opening/closing procedures, maintain clean facilities throughout service
- Flourish in an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork
- Adhere to all company policies and safety practices

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years of age, and have OLCC and food handler’s license (or ability to obtain upon employment)
- Must be able to lift and carry 45 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- At least one year retail, food/beverage and/or tasting room experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are a plus

COMPENSATION:
- Hourly DOE + Sales Incentives
