Job description
This is a job that keeps you on your toes at the forefront of the artisan cheese scene. We are looking for boots on the ground at Larkin Cold Storage. This position requires experience in the world of fine cheese, a desire to translate passion into performance, and the ability to work efficiently, independently, and conscientiously.
In any given moment of any given day you may breakdown wheels of cheese to create sample boxes, make fondue for a visiting distributor, take an inventory of plates and napkins, help Adam decide on copy for a new tshirt, relabel a Lot of cheese and make a social media post for the Barnyard Collective's next event.
MARKETING
Manage and further develop our website: makertomonger.com
facilitate marketing materials: one sheets, spec sheets, training docs, swag, etc.
Direct our social media channels, generate content, and drive engagements
Create recipes, pairings, and other serving suggestions for our products
SALES
Audit on site inventory and conduct quality control checks
Build and ship cheese sample boxes for customers, press and key people
Limited travel to support team at vendor trainings, trade shows and other events
EVENTS
Assist in the admin and execution of The Cheesemonger Invitational
Key support for monthly programming of Barnyard Collective events
Help execute our national Fonduel series throughout the year
Create new ideas for future events that support M2M and drive sales
This position is based 5 days a week at Larkin Cold Storage in Long Island City, NY
