Situated on land owned by the Hamill family for more than a century, Cherry Grove Farm was started in 2002 as a direct outgrowth of the Hamills’ passion for the land, their community, and the idea of responsible, sustainable food production.
Cherry Grove Farm uses the farmstead cheesemaking model, meaning that we do everything on site, from raising and milking the cows to making and aging our cheese. By keeping the process in-house, we ensure we use the best quality milk from humanely treated cattle who graze through the farm’s 200 plus acres of verdant pasture.
Within a decade of its founding, Cherry Grove established itself as one of the region’s premier cheesemakers, garnering numerous national awards that reflect the care taken in every step of the cheesemaking process.

Job description
Cherry Grove Farm is looking for an outgoing and sales minded individual to help assist in our farm store and outdoor markets. This can be a hybrid position that includes working in our indoor farm store which features our products, as well as other locally sourced items and our local outdoor markets. With this position we're confident you'll become a farmstead cheese and meat expert.
The position could be full time or part-time depending on experience but a minimum 3 days. We are looking for people who are organized, have the ability to work independently and are adaptable. Responsibilities include market set-up/breakdown, cash handling and knowledge of our products. This is a great opportunity to work first-hand within our local food system with our quality farmstead products - cheese, pasture raised meats, eggs and honey. Within the job responsibilities you would have the opportunity to learn about dairy farming and enjoy a 30% discount.
If you have experience with cheese, butchering or culinary
sales positions that's a plus but
not necessary. We will train, and training involves eating, and it's actually a good time you get paid for.
Outdoor market shifts include commission where you get 10% above $500 as a bonus to your wage. Unless you have foul weather, this is
very achievable and can add an extra 25-100$ to your wage.

Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
