We offer distribution, freight, and warehousing services to farmers and producers throughout our region. We source from within the Northeast as a rule, and the majority of our sources are certified organic. We carry fresh produce, fresh fruit, eggs, meat, cheese, grains, flowers, and added value products. Our customers are predominantly independent retail stores and restaurants in New York City, the Greater Boston Area, the Cape, and the Hudson Valley.
Job description
Myers Produce is seeking a full-time Sales & Marketing Coordinator to join our Sales Team. This is a new position at Myers.
Our Sales and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies to generate new and to support existing B2B business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of increasing sales and improving customer experience in the food sector through marketing strategies. They must be extroverted, comfortable with public speaking, and have a deep understanding of our mission.
The individual in this role will be responsible for managing ongoing marketing strategies, completing specific marketing projects, generating and executing ideas to improve the customer experience, and assisting our Sales Team with sales and customer service. This position will report directly to our Business Development Director.
Responsibilities include:
- Consistently visit Myers customers in-person to strengthen relationships & gather feedback
- Evaluate and analyze customer feedback
- Develop and recommend marketing strategies and tactics to meet sales goals
- Develop and execute marketing strategies including the use of social media, advertising, direct marketing, promotional materials, branding, labeling, and customer referral programs
- Increase social media presence through digital content creation
- Maximize website search engine optimization
- Maintain awareness of trends in marketing in our sector, and recommend new approaches including brand development through digital and printed materials
- Assist with ongoing order processing and customer service as needed
The ideal candidate:
- Has at least two years of experience in sales or marketing
- Has at least two years of experience working in the food industry
- Is focused and self-motivated in a remote office setting
- Is driven to meet company goals and objectives
- Possesses excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Is able to proactively identify, adopt, and utilize appropriate technologies and platforms to carry out job functions
- Has knowledge of produce varieties and seasonality
- Has an appreciation for the value of local agriculture and organic production
- Is comfortable with Slack, Google Suite, and Quickbooks Online

Compensation
