Company description
About Happy Valley Meat Co.
Happy Valley Meat Co’s mission is to create a local meat system that treats the people and animals involved fairly. Happy Valley tackles this mission by providing restaurants and institutions access to ethically raised meat from family farmers. Small-scale farmers in the northeast are eager to supply consumers in urban areas but they usually lack the time, infrastructure, scale, distribution, and resources to market whole animals or individual cuts. That’s where Happy Valley Meat Co. (HVM) comes in: we purchase whole animals from farmers, work with small-scale processors to portion and pack market-ready cuts of meat, and sell every single part of the animal. As a certified B-Corp, we do our best to work better and constantly consider the impact our work has on our partners, employees and community. By working with HVM, chefs and their customers get to enjoy delicious cuts of ethically raised, local meat and contribute to the growth of a better meat supply chain.
