Mad River Distillers is a craft distillery located in Warren, Vermont. We began distilling in 2013 and we distill whiskey, rum and brandy from scratch using regional non-GMO grains and fair-trade demerara sugar. We sell our spirits in VT at several tasting rooms, events and farmers markets, as well as the state "802 Spirits" stores, and we are distributed in 7other states. Our flagship tasting room is located in downtown Burlington, and we are open Wed-Mon with drink service from Thurs-Sun.
Job description
We are hiring for a full time tasting room bartender with retail sales position at our Burlington store. You must have a love of spirits, be comfortable talking to people, and quick on your feet! You will serve cocktails, as well as check in and cash out customers, and serve tastings, and simple food items. We are looking to cover Thurs-Monday, with weekends a must.
Hourly wage depending on experience ($15-17/hr) plus tips in a tip pool. Everyone who works in our store is trained to do every job and we work as a team. We stop serving at 9 pm, so you have all of the fun of a restaurant without the late nights. Proof of Covid vaccination/booster required.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds. 18+ to serve alcohol. Come work in a fun and fast paced environment! Hospitality experience required.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
