Starting in 2008 Quarter Acre Farm has provided organic vegetables and seedlings with agricultural expertise. In 2019 we expanded to create Quarter Acre Farm EATS where we produce delicious prepared food using fresh ingredients. We sell made to order breakfast tacos and quesadillas at the Easton farmers market along with freshly made pico de gallo, guacamole, and lemonade. We have a strong local following with many devoted customers. The owners of the business are Andrea the farmer and her husband Juan Carlos the chef.

Job Description:

We are looking for a customer service star who loves engaging with people. As our Farmers Market Sales Associate, you’ll be tending our booth and selling our prepared food while enjoying time outside and interacting with market-goers. The Saturday Easton farmers market season runs from April 16th through December 17th.

 

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Setting up the booth at the market, including unloading the booth gear and products and assembling it before the market starts.
• Engaging with customers to take food orders and payment for the duration of the market.
• Preparing drinks and keeping utensils and paper products stocked.
• Keeping the customer area clean and sanitized.
• Upon the market’s close, deconstructing the booth and loading gear into farm vehicle.

 

Job Position Requirements:

• You are comfortable working outside, markets are rain or shine.
• Must be available to work on Saturdays from 7:30am to 1:30pm.
• You have the ability to handle significant physical work, this includes being on one’s feet all day and dealing with bulky heavy items.
• You are reliable, punctual, and professional.
• You are comfortable with POS systems, credit card readers, and handling money.
• You have strong customer service and sales skills, are skilled at starting conversations and making people feel welcome.
• Previous experience in hospitality/ food is a plus
