The Worthy Burger is a Craft Beer and Burger Bar located in South Royalton VT, the same town as The Vermont Law School.  We're a 71 seat restaurant (including outdoor deck)  focusing on local, pasture raised, and organic products, but with a low price point.  Our beer follows the same mantra - small local producers, historic methods of processing, and a strong connection to the community. 

We're looking for a highly motivated cook that has plenty of self-direction, an ability to execute our concept, and at the same time be creative with the items on our menu.This person/persons should be a well trained line cook looking to take that next step. You should also be friendly, reliable, able to work in a team environment, and willing to give whatever it takes.

We are an expanding business with tremendous upside potential. You will be in view of the public at all times so proper food handling skills, sanitation and manners are important.  Calm, cool, and collected is what we're looking for.  We don't want egos.  You'll be taking orders from guests and conversing with them during your entire shift.

Our kitchen is on the smaller side with only three pieces of equipment: 6-burner with convection oven, two fryers and a custom wood-fired grill.  All of the cooking will be done on the wood-fired grill.

Duties include: Prep, dishwashing, cleaning, cooking, conversing with guests, serving food, wiping tables and closing down the kitchen and restaurant.

Education:  Culinary degree welcome, Self taught welcome, willing to learn welcome.
