Job description
We are building a meat processing team of 10-12 people, including humane slaughter, butchery, and value-added meat production. This will be done in a state of the art facility located near Helena, MT. We are also establishing a butcher shop within our flagship facility in Helena, MT, which includes a public house restaurant, local distillery, and local foods market. The first employees in meat processing will be hired in spring 2022. Montana needs to rebuild its talent pool in the craft of handling livestock with respect and processing meat. We are hiring people to lead the training of the next generation of MT butchers, along with people with less experience who are building their skills in meat cutting. Our employees have an opportunity to become owners in the business by becoming Co-op members along with the ranchers.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, 50k-75k
