Job description

As Mealime grows rapidly, our team of chefs is looking for an experienced Food Photographer to cook and photograph our growing collection of world class recipes, inspiring our users to cook beautiful, fresh, healthy meals at home. Food Photographers collaborate remotely with a team of recipe developers and editors to cook and photograph accurate representations of our recipes. This is a part-time, remote position that requires availability between core PT business hours.
 

Key Responsibilities (Include, but are not limited to): 

• Work closely with our culinary team to cook, execute and photograph recipes that keep to our defined style guide, nutritional guidelines, and ingredient requirements. 

• Test recipes to ensure quality and accuracy. 

• Discuss possible edits/changes to recipes with our editorial team and recipe developers. 

Qualifications: 

• Experienced food photographer, with demonstrated success of photographing recipes for an online audience (CPGs, Food Blogging etc.), with a product that meets our food photography standard. 

• Have access to required equipment and location for food photography (camera, laptop, lens, backdrops, props). 

• Well-versed in cooking, with the ability to follow and execute a recipe from start to finish, for a variety of diet types. 

• Familiar with Microsoft Office, with an ability and willingness to learn additional software programs in a timely manner. 

• Team player with strong communication skills in a remote-work environment. 

• Attentive to detail. 

• Able to accept and implement feedback. 

• Have a passion for food and cooking. 

• Based in North America.

• Work may be performed in a temperature-controlled environment. 

• Must sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time. 

• May spend long periods of time at desk or computer terminal. 

• Will use keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during the course of normal workday. 

• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties. 

• Work day is fast paced; some evening and weekend work may be required.
