Nebo Lodge is a small inn and restaurant on the island of North Haven, Maine, in the heart of Penobscot Bay.  

Have you ever wanted to wake up on a gorgeous Maine island surrounded by colourful local fisherman, stunning ocean views? You've found it.

The inn has nine unique guest rooms, as well as three inviting decks, a charming bar and dining room.  

The restaurant at Nebo Lodge serves up a varied, seasonal menu of island-grown meat, fish, and produce—from oysters, lobsters and scallops to pasture-fed lamb, fresh eggs, and of course, bountiful vegetables. Homemade bread, creative cocktails, and decadent desserts serve as delicious accompaniments. We also serve a homemade breakfast each morning for inn guests.

Job description

Seasonal May - October 

Job Type: Seasonal/Full-time experienced cook with fresh and local ingredient passion & a pastry cook. May – October. Competitive hourly pay based on experience. 

Location: North Haven, ME (Required) depending on housing needs could be included with pay.

Seeking experienced hard-working cook to work in a seasonal farm-to-table restaurant and inn located on an off-shore Maine island. Being part of our team also entails:

• Experience with busy, fast-paced restaurant execution (100 – 200 covers, average and at peak)
• Experience working with small farms, local foods and vendors
• Serve-safe certified
• Solid communication and positive attitude 
• Able to organize inventory, and assist in ordering
• Authorized to work in US

 

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
