Food Security Champion(s)
Join TeamUP's AmeriCorps crew in September of 2019 for a chance to serve a rural Colorado community for 1 year doing meaningful work focused on healthy outcomes for children and families! TeamUP, a program of the United Way of Southwest Colorado, uses collective impact to make sure that all children in Montezuma and Dolores counties can thrive from cradle to career.
We’re looking to fill 11 new AmeriCorps positions within our communities! There will be 2 Food Security Champions (FSC). One FSC will be parterning with 2 non-profits in Cortez, Colorado: The Good Food Collective & The Good Samaritan Food Pantry. The second FSC will be serving at the Pagosa Peak Open School in Pagosa Spring, Colorado, a K-6 project-based public charter school.

TeamUP AmeriCorps members will receive a Living Allowance of $17,000/year, health care coverage and child care assistance (f/t), or $9,000/yr (p/t), and an education award of $6,095 (f/t) or $3,047.50 (p/t).
