Company description
Tandem Coffee Roasters is a busy, little (mostly) wholesale coffee roaster situated in two brick Art Deco buildings on a decommissioned age-old scrap yard in Portland, Maine’s East Bayside neighborhood. The cafe is located in the old office of said scrap yard with the roaster operating inside of the old car crusher. We also have a bustling bakery location called Tandem Coffee + Bakery on Congress St. in Portland’s West End neighborhood! The bakery is housed in a repurposed roadside service station and is always bursting at the seams with pastries, pies and people.
The Tandem roastery team is a small yet mighty group that works in close quarters. Our team works together with a sense of urgency and desire to pay it forward yet ultimately has a great time. We always say that we take what we do seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. We feel so lucky that we get to do what we love in a place that we love with people we genuinely consider to be family.
