Chemical free beef cattle, hog and produce farm in the Memphis TN area. We have been growing pastured beef and pork for 12 years; fruits and vegetables for 5 years. The livestock operation is on 1,600 acres at Dancyville, TN. The produce operation is at Whiteville, TN. We also own The Curb Market in Memphis, where we sell our meats and produce.

Job description

Winchester Farm has an immediate opening for an assistant lead grower at our chemical-free produce farm near Whiteville TN. We grow fruits and veggies on approximately 13 acres, including 3 hi tunnels. We sell retail at AgriCenter International Farmers Market in Memphis and to a variety of restaurants, Food Hub, CSAs and The Curb Market, which we also own. We have been certified organic for 4 years, but recently discontinued being under the NOP. We are planning a composting facility on the farm as well. Nearby housing is available as part of the compensation package.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $12.00 - $15.00
