Job description

As head of Marketing & PR within our company, you will have overall responsibility for business development, through effective marketing and PR opportunities. We are looking for a curious self starter, bundles of energy and passion for plant based food, and have a wealth of experience working in hyper-growth areas. You will really care about growing our community in an authentic manner, and will be rigorous about reporting, challenging the status quo and pushing our brand forward.

Responsibilities
  • Marketing and PR strategy – developing the overall long and short term strategies for all marketing and PR activities, adhering to the budget discussed and agreed with CEO.
  • PR – working closely with the external PR resource to ensure that the business is profiled sufficiently in the most appropriate locations.
  • Marketing team – Manage the marketing team including Business Development, Graphic Design and external PR, to get the most out of our investment in these activities.
  • Branding/brand visuals – working closely with the CEO and Graphic Designer to develop the highest quality branding and printed visuals, for all online, printed and in-store activities.
  • Influencer relationships – working to build strong mutually beneficial relationships with influencers across multiple platforms.
  • Local business relationships – working to build strong relationships with local businesses close to each site to ensure they are incentivised to visit regularly and that they are well looked-after when they do.
  • Promotions – reviewing sales activity and performance of promotions to determine the most effective ones, and coming up with new and exciting promotions to engage new and existing customers.
  • Blog – overall responsibility for generating the highest quality blog content, with interesting features and quality updates about the business. The aim is for the blog to be a driver of traffic to our website and ultimately to the restaurants.
  • Newsletters – overall responsibility for ensuring regular and interesting newsletters are delivered to our customers and also to our investors.
  • Collaborations – developing ideas and relationships for fantastic collaborations, whether related to F&B or even to the business more generally.
  • Music – develop and maintain the various playlists for the restaurants, ensuring that they are kept up to date and appropriate for the time of day and day of the week.
  • Merchandise – working with Graphic Designer to develop great merchandise ideas for sale in restaurants and eventually online.
  • Events – overall responsibility for organising events, both for customers and also for staff, including summer and Christmas parties etc.

Requirements
  • 3-5 Years of marketing experience, preferably in a food or tech start up
  • Strong communication skills with proven track record of working across various roles and responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills are a must.
  • Strong understanding of key performance metrics
  • Working knowledge and understanding of advertising platforms – Google AdWords, Facebook, Apple, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat – amongst many others.
  • Working knowledge of Excel / Word / Photoshop
  • Understanding of London’s hospitality scene
  • Great in depth knowledge of working with Google Analytics and proven track record of effectuating positive results.
  • Analytically minded and highly focused on the numerical side of the business
  • Experience with working with freelance workers and also developing a team
  • Get up and go, positive attitude with bags of enthusiasm and drive.
  • Above all the absolute determination and self-starter motivation that is required in a start up environment
  • We need someone who can hit the ground running and own the role from day one. 

Compensation

this position is: salaried, varies DOE, $30,000.00 - $55,000.00
