Job description

We are currently seeking that special someone to fill the role of our Cave & Blue Cheese Production Assistant. This is a 30-40 hour position at our small family-owned farmstead creamery in Sequatchie, TN. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Leaf-wrapping Shakerag Blue
-Wax-coating all blue cheese
-Packaging blue cheese
-Processing fig leaves
-Tracking inventory 
-Assisting with packaging of other cheeses as needed
-Assisting Head Affineur with aging responsibilities in cave which include cheese washing, spiking, and salting. 
-Assisting Shipping & Inventory Manager with shipping and sales responsibilities which include packing boxes and cutting cheese for Farmers Markets. 

Ideally this person would not mind redundant physical labor in a hot or cold environment. Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time. Attention to detail and cleanliness as well as an ability to work at a relaxed but steady pace are essential. A flexible schedule including weekends needed. Sense of humor and a love of cheese a must.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, under $15/hr
