Pasture is the retail and restaurant manifestation of Marksbury Farm Market. We are a company focused on local, sustainable agriculture and land stewardship, working to provide our community with well raised, quality meats. Pasture at Marksbury is a whole animal butcher shop and farm to table lunch service restaurant. Our food is simple, but is comprised of top notch ingredients. Our focus at Pasture is providing our customers with an unforgettable experience while serving and selling the best meat in Kentucky. 

Pasture is the located on the same 90-acre farm as Marksbury Farm Foods, our USDA processing facility. In addition to operating as a custom processing facility, we are partnered with local farmers who grow pasture raised and grass fed meats for us to sell through Pasture.

Job description

We are looking to hire a self starting individual who loves people and is motivated to consistently demonstrate superior hospitality with energy and a smile.  Must be able to manage time, a budget, and personnel effectively while delivering the best possible retail experience.  The ability to work Saturdays is a must.

Job duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Overall management of a retail butcher shop
• Scheduling and managing labor
• Managing social media
• Scheduling, coordinating, and implementing events
• Inventory management and ordering
• Boosting sales and foot traffic
• Ability to stick to/manage a budget

You'd be our ideal candidate if, in addition to the above, you are:

• Passionate about meat and/or sustainable agriculture
• Invested in the local community/have local ties
• Interested in heading up some agrotourism endeavors on property

Compensation

this position is: salaried, less than 50k
