About the Position
The Digital Engagement and Advocacy Director will lead the Center's strategic digital engagement and advocacy efforts with the goals of continuing to build our national visibility as a leader in food issues; crafting and implementing effective online advocacy, email, and social media campaigns to support our policy, legal, and corporate / consumer campaign efforts, and; increasing both the breadth and depth of our online membership.
Responsibilities include:
Managing all aspects of digital engagement and advocacy, including (but not limited to):
- Creating and overseeing online campaign content and calendar, including fundraising and member outreach;
- Creating CFS’s digital work strategy, including integration of analytics;
- Working with campaign, policy, legal, and communications staff to develop and implement compelling, effective campaigns;
- Tracking, analyzing and reporting on web, email, and engagement analytics and making recommendations on how to build online membership, engagement, and growth;
- Coordinating on-the-ground actions into our advocacy campaigns;
- Managing social media, digital and/or communications staff to implement strategic social media campaigns and compelling public-facing content;
- Maintaining and enhancing CFS's web presence;
- Working with partner organizations at the state and national levels.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years experience leading digital campaigns, communications, and/or digital engagement in a dynamic, purpose-driven setting
- Strong management, analytical, and organizational skills
- Experience with CMSs such as Wordpress
- Experience using CRMs such as Every Action, NGP VAN, Salsa or similar
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google AdWords, or other third-party analytics platforms
- Experience designing and implementing online ads, such as Facebook ads
- Experience leading a large website redesign, and/or developing campaign websites
- Experience in online fundraising
- Excellent planning skills and ability to work with multiple teams across numerous projects, set and review goals, assess risks and outcomes, and analyze and apply analytical data;
