Join Compass Coffee as a Roaster’s Apprentice!

A Roaster’s Apprentice helps the Roasting Team accomplish its goals by fulfilling all the responsibilities of a Production Assistant while also learning about the art and science of sourcing, sampling, roasting, and blending coffee, as well as maintaining our equipment. It’s a concrete, results-oriented job with room to grow. 

Roaster’s Apprentice is a full-time, salaried position. No experience required — we’ll train you — but you must:

• Be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted, 75 with a buddy

• Love coffee

• Be a dependable, teachable person, who enjoys working with a team

• Like the idea of tinkering with machinery

All of our Roasters started at the Apprentice level, it's in line with our values as a company. You'll be trained up to Production Lead and then Lead Roaster in no time! Complacency is clearly not our thing - we're looking for people that want to grow with us!
