Job description

This is a unique chance for a motivated individual with an interest in learning the ins and outs of confectionery production while gaining firsthand experience in making chocolate from the bean.   

RESPONSIBILITIES:     
  • Assisting the the head manufacturer with the production of our fine chocolate batches and the head chocolatier with the production of our fine confections:
    -sorting beans
    -cracking and winnowing beans
    -roasting
    -pulling batches
    -preparing batches for the chocolate grinder
    -pouring + garnishing chocolate bars
    -assisting on the enrobing line
  • Ensuring product quality and safety.
  • Contribute to an environment conducive to spontaneous dancing and idea sharing.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm for new projects, recipe playing and chocolate tasting parties. 
SKILLS:

  • Able to work clean and efficiently
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • No previous experience in chocolate manufacturing necessary, although kitchen experience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to hustle for extended periods of time.
  • Consistent, demonstrated punctuality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Energetic, organized and professional.
  • Capable of random acts of magic.
  • Commitment to producing high–quality product and a desire to see continuous improvement.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, under $15/hr
