Job Title: General Manager for Boutique Hotel in New Orleans

Requirements: 
We are looking not only for a seasoned General Manager, but also someone who is interested in the overall vision and concept of this unique boutique hotel in New Orleans all the way from construction to opening and beyond. The overall vision for the hotel is for it to be as much a magical and inviting oasis for visitors as a hub for the neighborhood. Art, good vibes, delicious food, and lots of community-centric programming will ground the space and make it feel vibrant and natural. Our intention is to offer as many fantastic events and happenings to the community as to the hotel guests. When designing the space, we are interested in creating covered areas where events/workshops/gatherings can be held. Events as small as a botanical workshop on New Orleans plants, or large events like weekly pig roasts and crawfish boils. We are willing to enter into a profit sharing agreement with the right candidate. We are seeking a creative, artistic, efficient problem solver who is not afraid of adventure and truly enjoys life in the South off the beaten track. An expert level knowledge of hotel operations, guest services, F&B, and a love of customer service is required. Overly corporate and inside-the-box thinkers need not apply.

Responsibilities: 
Oversee all hotel operations and assist with HR for all hotel positions both senior and lower level positions 
Assist in carrying out vision of owners and creative director. 
Provide impeccable guest services. 
Assist in establishing systems that are efficient and make sense to staff and guests alike. 
Provide back end communication with guests via sites like Tripadvisor, etc

Compensation

this position is: salaried, 50k to 100k
