Job description

The Accounting & HR Manager will have a strong background in bookkeeping, HR best practices, and cash flow management. They will oversee administrative duties to maintain organizational functions in finance, human resources, and administration. In addition, they will be a hands‐on, participative manager and adapt administrative and accounting processes as needed.

If you are an experienced bookkeeper with additional expertise in human resources, can think analytically and problem‐ solve and are looking for a dynamic work environment, this is the position for you! The successful candidate will have experience managing through growth and change, a strong understanding and foundation in accounting, and a history of working collaboratively cross‐departmentally. Further, this position requires excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize, along with a proven record in working with people from a variety of racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Outstanding verbal, written, and organizational skills are essential, as are thoughtful and consistent communication skills. Proficiency with Sage and Microsoft Office products is required as is related education and/or experience, financial modeling experience, and a proven ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, goal‐focused team environment.

The Accounting & HR Manager will be responsible for the full accounting monthly cycle, including month end reconciliation and reporting. In addition, this position will oversee payroll, monthly & quarterly taxes, benefit management, and processing HR documentation and paperwork.

This is a 40 hour/week, exempt position that will report to the Senior Director of Finance & Administration, and will be based at Good Shepherd Center.
