NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
What a wonderful bunch of people to work with! We are hiring like mad right now and Good Food Jobs really helped us tap into the food lovers we want. Not to mention they would find little mistakes we made in our posts and let us know right away. I would recommend this site to any one trying to hire some awesome food-lovin' folks. Thank You Good Food Jobs!
- Alison, Job Poster
I derive so much inspiration from your site and share it with everyone when I make presentations. I read the listings to imagine what jobs I would like to do, share with my students what they can do, and most importantly, understand the trends of our industry.

Wireless. No, we don't mean the hands-free, clutter-free, plug-free kind. We're talking about 'I left my phone at home and I'm miles away from there.' 'The internet is out and the service call won't come for days.' 'I just sat down in the plane/train/car and my laptop died.'
When you run a web-based business, and you can't get online, it's easy to feel like you're instantly out of touch. But because we're in the habit of looking on the bright side, we each - in our separate but same wireless boats - are turning to the faces of those around us as a reminder of what being connected really means. And that means all of you GFJ readers and followers, too. We can't see your faces at this moment, but we know you're there, and we're glad.
And as it turns out, next week there is a new opportunity to connect with us face to face, at our Passion + Profit event in NYC, hosted by Mealku. If you're a chef, or aspiring chef, read on to find out how you can join us.
Meanwhile, if you're lucky enough to have a healthy, high speed mobile device at your fingertips, check out the winner of our November GFJ Instagram Challenge. Congratulations to @robynbiird, whose strawberry pie has us craving summer. She'll be receiving the new cookbook from Brooklyn-based pie shop Four and Twenty Blackbirds (which, if you didn't win, you should probably go ahead and buy yourself, for any particular reason).
If there's one thing we learned this week...you can never have enough pie.
Cheers,
Taylor & Dorothy

Passion + Profit
a Cook & Earn Event
hosted by Mealku
If you are a chef or an aspiring chef, we'd like to invite you to come and see us in person next week at our Passion & Profit cocktail hour with NYC's Mealku. It's an opportunity to connect with us and others in the industry, and to see if Mealku can help you share your culinary talents with more hungry folks. Here's how it works: you email us to RSVP and the first 150 responses will be notified that their spot is reserved on the guest list.
Mealku is an NYC based meal delivery service that showcases the talents of local chefs, helps ensure that no leftovers go to waste, and pays their delivery people a living wage. If you're making lunch, why not share it? Find out more at mealku.com and view their latest openings on goodfoodjobs.com.

Credibles
So many of us, having grown up in a household where pantry rules are strict, can relate to the childhood lure of junk food. While Sarah was no exception, her awakening to how food affects our bodies started early, in adolescence, and never quite left her as she pursued a variety of other studies. We love how she describes finding her way to a dream job in the midst of overwhelming options. Read More
