NICE THINGS PEOPLE SAY
After 2 long years of job searching on Craigslist and other types of job websites that seemed to throw my resume into a black hole, I found Good Food Jobs. I got so many interviews at exciting companies through your site. Thanks to you, I recently landed a great job at an awesome start-up company that I'm very passionate about! Keep up the great work. You're helping people find jobs they love!
- Dorie, GFJ Success Story
I am really passionate about food, but I am not a chef or a farmer. Before goodfoodjobs.com I had no idea how to break into the side of the food industry that interests me. Last summer I found a great internship on goodfoodjobs.com and that internship helped me get an AMAZING job for after graduation. I feel so lucky to have found a job so in line with my interests right out of college and I know I wouldn't be there without this site. Thank you so much for the space that you have created here. I know that I will return to it again and again. - Madeline, GFJ Success Story
We are so pleased to be of service.

This week brings Dorothy happily home from the World Domination Summit in Portland, Oregon, where 3,000 people gathered to consider the question: How does one live a remarkable life in a conventional world?
Speakers came from all over the planet to talk about dreams, expectations, entrepreneurship, how to speak and write and build community more effectively. There were endless gold nuggets of advice and inspiration, hilarious and heartbreaking examples of failure and success. It was Gretchen Rubin, of the Happiness Project, who addressed the sneaking question that we all can't help but wonder: So what exactly is the key to happiness/fulfillment/success?
After 48+ hours of discussion, it was clear that the process of asking, not answering, is where we find such things. Taking action is truly the most important part, because once you're in the scrum, it doesn't matter when or if you find the answers: you're doing it (whatever 'it' is). As Tess Vigeland said: Dream while you're still in the dream.
And for those of you who've been dreaming of a green thumb, or of dedicating yourself to more visual expression, this week is the official launch of our next Instagram photo contest:
HOW TO ENTER
Upload your Instagram photo (you can share as many as you like) with @goodfoodjobs and the hashtag #growGFJ by 8am on Tuesday, July 23rd. The submission with the most likes on Instagram (psst! That means you should tell your friends!) will be published in our newsletter that day and on our home page at goodfoodjobs.com. The winner will receive a handmade picking basket from Kauffmann Mercantile, equally suited to harvesting in urban or rural settings.
We look forward to seeing what you're sprouting.
Happy Summer,
Taylor & Dorothy

Those of us who have experienced the struggle of not knowing what to do with our career, and when, will be envious of Kristin's ability to navigate a freelance work life that defies (and exceeds) expectation. She wears multiple hats and thrives on variety. The moral of her story is that she knows herself well enough to understand that one regular, steady job would never satisfy her.
