THE TWO MOST POWERFUL WORDS WHEN WE'RE IN STRUGGLE . . . me too.
2016 has been a wild and intense year. And while the forces that surround us during the month of December often feel like an inevitable cascade into a new year, we're doing our best to slow things down. To reflect. To pay respect. To honor and to savor.
The common refrain I keep hearing of late - after acts of terror and mass shootings and loss and turmoil and climate crisis - is 'what's the point?' It's easy to feel as if nothing we as individuals could ever do in our day-to-day lives could really matter or truly make a difference.
But in the face of unrest, uncertainty and anguish we are reminded of the sense of community that we feel through GFJ. Within this group, we meet and recognize kindred spirits. And we seek solace in the collective sigh of, 'Me, too'. We hope that you feel it, too.
In lieu of a formal snail mail holiday card, we are tapping into the warmth and spirit of this collective group and sending it back to you. We're all in this together, planting the seeds for a future we desire for our communities. And for that we are so very thankful.
In celebration,
Taylor & Dorothy
